Celebrate Paul Newman’s Birthday!
January 26th marks an important day for The Painted Turtle and SeriousFun Children’s Network.
Not a day goes by that The Painted Turtle does not honor its Co-Founder’s spirit and vision. We celebrate his legacy and the long-lasting contributions that Paul brought to SeriousFun Children’s Network of camps and programs where more than 86,000 children and families experience SeriousFun on an annual basis and more than 600,000 have benefited since SeriousFun first began.
Paul once said, “If there is a legacy to my life, it is my hope that the network of Camps will continue to grow and prosper…on as wide a geographic scope as possible, and far, far into the future.”
He would be so proud.
Giving back and helping others was always a part of Paul’s DNA. He encouraged others to adopt the same philanthropic energy and developed passion projects to directly improve the lives of those less fortunate.
Through his efforts he built awareness and understanding around the toll that serious illness can place on a child and their family. He created a special place called camp that would forever change the lives of thousands.
The Painted Turtle campers face challenges big and small every single day. Today, we challenge you to honor Paul Newman’s legacy in whatever way you can. Through our combined efforts we will uphold his legacy, continue to raise awareness, mobilize support, and work together to deliver on our mission to as many children as we can reach.
Share with your friends and family: Happy Birthday #paulnewman! Hooray for the man, the legend, and his creation of #thepaintedturtle camp.
