The Painted Turtle is currently looking to fill the following full time positions:

Development Team

Events Manager: The Events Manager will work closely with the Director of Development and Fundraising as well as the Communications team and is responsible for setting strategy and overseeing management and execution of all major organizational fundraising special events and athletic events for an innovative, high energy non-profit that serves children with serious medical conditions. This position will focus on key priority areas of planning and implementing strategies and practice for increasingly successful events. Special Events include, but are not limited to: Board led events, Bingo at The Roxy, annual Turtle de Turtle bike ride & Turtle Trek run/walk/roll, the LA Marathon), and the North Los Angeles Regional Board annual BBQ event. Medical Team

Nursing Director:  The Nurse Director will work closely with the Health Center Director and the Medical Director to oversee the nursing program at a medical specialty camp for children with serious medical conditions.  Duties will include assisting in recruitment and training of volunteer and full-time summer nursing staff, supervision of patient care during summer and weekend programs, assist in advisement on medical safety of all camp programs, development and review of camp policies and protocols related to medical care of children at camp and ensuring medical program meets all state and other regulatory standards.   California Nursing License, PALS, ACLS will be required upon hiring.  Contact Michelle Melendez at michellem@thepaintedturtle.org for more information.

Nurse Manager:  The Nurse Manager will work closely with the Health Center Director and the Nursing Director to manage the nursing program at a medical specialty camp for children with serious medical conditions. This position can be year-round or seasonal. Duties will include assisting in recruitment and training of volunteer and full-time summer nursing staff, with the nursing director assist in supervision of patient care during summer and weekend programs, ensure adequate supplies are available for camp relative to medical conditions.  California Nursing License, PALS, ACLS will be required upon hiring.  Contact Michelle Melendez at michellem@thepaintedturtle.org for more information.
